CD & DVD PRINT METHODS

At our site in Telford, we have high quality, high capacity print facilities, which include:

3 x 5 colour litho printers

2 x 5 colour screen printers

1 x digital inkjet printer

Plus short run inkjet and thermal printers

We have over 20 years experience with print and can also provide special finishes such as inkjet, thermal, vinyl effect and metallic.

Litho Printing

Best for full colour printing from 100 pieces up to 10,000 and beyond.

If the artwork is full colour (CMYK), we generally use litho print machines.

The artwork is split into the component CMYK colours onto an optional white base – this can differ depending on customer requirements.

A lacquer can be printed on top of the print to provide a gloss finish

(optional and free).

Screen Printing

Perfect for colour matching, large areas of solid colour, metallics and fluorescents.

We recommend this printing method for solid colours and pantone matching spot colours. If the artwork consists of just a few colours then screen-printing is the route to take.

We use Dubuit screen printers, each with a capacity of 18,000 per day.

We can print onto 12cm and 8cm discs.

  • Allows matches to pantone colours

  • Excellent for logo solid area colour

  • Allows for special finishes (metallic, fluorescent)

  • Up to 5 spot colours can be registered (with or without white base)
Digital Inkjet Printing

We use an industrial 2Print printer that gives a cost effective solution, on any media surface, to short run requirements.

With fast turnaround times, this method is ideal for budget projects which are cost based and do not require the highest print quality.

We use other inkjet printers for short run projects mainly using CMC WaterShield, which gives the ultimate quality and water resistance finish.

Thermal Printing

Excellent quality, perfect for quality short runs (up to 100 pieces). This uses either a white or silver base and gives a very high quality finish similar to litho.

We use a thermal Prism machine for single colour black text printing and serialisation, and a thermal re-transfer Everest machine for full colour prints.
